Starbucks is in the hot seat for hiring an employee who used her racial prejudice to call the police, removing two African American males from the store. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out, especially as the CEO of Starbucks, Kevin Johnson, will not fire the employee. See video below starting at 2:40:

UPDATE: As of 12:00pm EST, the employee is no longer working as a manager of the store in Philadephia but it is not confirmed if she is still working for the chain.
This post is not about how wrong she was (because she is) but about the African-American community really paying attention to where are dollars are going. Let’s start pouring back into our community.

I think more ppl should realize exactly whose business that it we are supporting. Take A look around us and notice the Chinese support the Chinese, we all know the white ppl stick together but even the Spanish ppl know to support each other. Why is it that black Ppl have the hardest time with supporting their own ppl in business? Until the black communities truly come together and support each other in the USA we don’t have a fighting chance to make an effective change. Things will always stay the same if we all stay the same. Its time to wake up! Take A good look at what’s going on around you and know it’ll only get worse if we as black ppl don’t do anything. It starts with a positive change and educate yourself on what happened in our history so we can break this cycle and change history from repeating itself. Go follow on IG @racismislame

I completely agree! As a business owner myself, it is frustrating when people want you to do everything pro bono! Thanks for the comment.
